Its an open secret that Huawei will unveil a new smartwatch this Sunday in Barcelona at its pre-Mobile World Congress event where well also see the P10 and P10 Plus smartphones becoming official. That is because even a company official has basically confirmed this. However, weve heard very little about the upcoming wearable up until this point, which is pretty unusual for the leak-filled mobile world nowadays.
A report from January claimed it would sport cellular data connectivity and a "sportier" look than the original Huawei Watch from 2015. Well, thats been very much confirmed today by the leaked press renders you can see below.
Thats much more sporty-looking than the first generation Huawei Watch, for sure. But wait, theres more. Another render shows us that the watch will have a SIM card slot, so mobile network connectivity is indeed a go too.
The Huawei Watch 2 will come in at least the three color versions pictured below, and it will run the recently released Android Wear 2.0.
Unfortunately no details about its specs have been outed, but given its looks its likely that its main competitor will be the LG Watch Sport, at least for the time being.

September is almost here and the excitement about Apples new iPhone refresh is growing with each passing minute. Yet, despite the close release, we still cant quite put our finger on some major specifics about the iPhone 7 family, primarily how many models it will feature and how they will differ.
Unlike past years, the problem this time doesnt seem to be the lack or rumors and leaks, but that we are lost in a sea of conflicting information. Last we heard yesterday, Apple had allegedly made a last-minute decision to cut the model variety from three to the usual two. One would be the classic 4.7-inch, while the bigger 5.5-inch "Pro" or "Plus" would bring the major innovations we have been seeing repeatedly in leaks, like the dual-camera setup and the POGO pins on the back.
Alleged iPhone 7 units
Today a new set of live photos tell a different story. They do show only a pair of models, so at least theres that, but the bigger one appears to come with a dual-camera setup, but not the metal connectors on the back. Of course, we could be looking at a dummy unit that somebody didnt put the pins on, whether because they werent essential for the prototypes purpose or simply the unit represents an outdated design.

The Samsung Galaxy Note7 is the first commercially [almost] available smartphone to support 4x4 MIMO. The feature is supported by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 but only if the handset is equipped with four network antennas for simultaneous connections.
Well, the Galaxy Note7âs hardware does support this in conjunction with Qualcommâs X12 LTE model. And although there are no US carrier that supports 4x4 MIMO right now, at least we know that the Snapdragon variant of the Note7 does. This feature is not supported on the Exynos variant of the Galaxy Note7 since it does not have the same X12 modem.
In order for 4x4 MIMO to fully work, a subscriberâs network towers would also need to support 4 simultaneous network channels. T-Mobile in the US doesnât have these 4x4 towers everywhere, but there are some in NYC.
The benefit of having these extra channels would vastly i mprove network reliability and speeds. When one channel has a weak or no signal, the handset has other channels to fall back on. This feature can also help to greatly reduce the number of dropped VoLTE calls.
